Currently the Assemblies of God USA and Assemblies of God organizations around the world make up the world's largest Pentecostal denomination with some 51 million members and adherents. The primary message of our Fellowship is because Jesus cares for people, the Assemblies of God is people who care about each other.
We are committed to fulfilling a three-fold mission:
1. To introduce non-believers to Jesus Christ;
2. To provide an environment for worshiping God and fellowshiping with others who hold similar values and love for God;
3. To effectively train and nurture believers.
Our History
The Assemblies of God has its roots in a religious revival that began in the late 1800s. In 1914 both preachers and laymen gathered from 20 states and several foreign countries for a "general council" in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Our Beliefs
The 16 doctrinal standards of the A/G can be found in our Statement of Fundamental Truths. As the need arises to make a statement on a controversial issue, leaders of the fellowship approve an official statement. These statements are better known as position papers.
Constitution and Bylaws
The General Council of the Assemblies of God's Constitution and Bylaws serve as practical rules of order and a guide in the development and conducting of affairs for the cooperative fellowship.
Statistics
More than 2.5 million people worship in over 12,000 Assemblies of God churches across the United States. Statistical data is collected each year for the ministers, ministries and missions work of the fellowship.
